After an early breakfast in Arusha, you will meet your professional safari guide and receive a detailed briefing. The journey to Tarangire is approximately 2.5 hours, passing through local villages and vibrant landscapes. Upon arrival, you'll enter the park and begin your game drive. The park is characterized by its rolling hills and a landscape dotted with ancient baobab trees, which dwarf the animals beneath them. You will spend the day exploring the Tarangire River, the park's lifeblood, where elephants congregate in huge numbers during the dry season. The park is also home to lions, leopards, cheetahs, and a wide array of antelopes, zebras, and giraffes. The dense bush provides excellent opportunities for spotting a variety of birds. You will enjoy a picnic lunch amidst the wilderness.
Meal Plan : Breakfast , Lunch and Dinner
Accommodation : Marera Valley

After breakfast, you will depart Tarangire and drive towards the Serengeti. The route takes you through the beautiful Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you'll pass Maasai villages and have the chance to see wildlife grazing on the highland pastures. As you descend into the Serengeti, the landscape dramatically changes to vast, golden savannas stretching to the horizon. The name "Serengeti" is derived from the Maasai word "Siringet," meaning "the place where the land runs on forever," and you will feel its immensity as you enter. Your afternoon game drive will focus on the Seronera area in the central Serengeti, known for its high concentration of big cats—lions, leopards, and cheetahs. The granite outcrops, or "kopjes," provide perfect lookout points for predators.
Wake up to the sounds of the African bush and embark on an early morning game drive, a prime time for spotting predators as they are most active. Your guide will track animals based on fresh spoor and their intimate knowledge of the area. You'll spend the day exploring different sectors of the park, seeking out a diversity of wildlife including hyenas, jackals, giraffes, buffalo, and a variety of gazelles. Depending on the season, your guide will take you to areas where the famous wildebeest and zebra migration can be found. You'll enjoy a picnic lunch in a designated spot, followed by an afternoon game drive, before returning to your camp for dinner and a well-deserved rest.
Following a leisurely breakfast, you will enjoy a final game drive as you exit the Serengeti, making your way back toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The drive offers stunning panoramic views as you ascend the highlands. Your destination is a lodge located on the crater rim or in the nearby town of Karatu. The evening is yours to relax and take in the magnificent views from your lodge. Your guide will brief you on the next day's descent into the crater.
An early start is essential to beat the crowds and see the wildlife at its most active. You will descend 600 meters (2,000 feet) into the Ngorongoro Crater, a natural sanctuary for over 25,000 animals. The crater floor is a microcosm of the East African ecosystem, with open grasslands, acacia forests, and soda lakes. The game viewing here is exceptional, offering a high chance to spot the "Big Five." The crater is one of the few places in Tanzania where you can reliably see the endangered black rhino. You'll also encounter large prides of lions, huge herds of wildebeest and zebra, and a great variety of birds, including flocks of flamingos. A picnic lunch will be served by a hippo pool, a classic safari experience. After a full and exhilarating day, you will ascend the crater walls and begin the drive back to Arusha. Your safari concludes with a drop-off at your hotel or Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your departure.
