Overview

This 6-day safari combines Tanzania’s top wildlife parks with cultural experiences. The itinerary includes two days in Tarangire, a cultural visit in Mto wa Mbu, three days in the Serengeti, and one day in Ngorongoro. You’ll spend one night at Fig Tree Lodge with a private bathroom, while the remaining four nights are spent camping in Tarangire, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro with shared facilities, offering an authentic and immersive safari experience.

Day to day Itinerary

Day 01 :
 Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Your safari adventure kicks off today with a drive to Tarangire National Park, home to giant elephant herds and towering ancient baobab trees. From the open-roof safari vehicle, you’ll explore wild savannahs, seasonal swamps, and the Tarangire River, spotting elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, and more along the way. A scenic picnic lunch fuels the journey before afternoon game drives continue, ending with dinner and an overnight stay at a campsite inside the park — surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness.

Day 02 :
Tarangire Sunrise Game Drive & Local Community Visit

Start your day early with a sunrise game drive in Tarangire National Park. After breakfast, continue exploring the park before heading to Mto wa Mbu for lunch and a cultural experience. In the afternoon, you’ll visit local communities, explore banana farms, rice plantations, traditional artworks, forests, and nearby waterfalls. You can choose to discover the area on foot or by bicycle. Dinner and overnight accommodations will be at Fig Tree Lodge.

Day 03 :
Journey to Serengeti & Afternoon Game Drive

After breakfast, depart for the Serengeti, enjoying a scenic 4 to 5-hour drive filled with exciting game viewing along the bumpy road through the crater highlands to the expansive Serengeti plains. Stop for a picnic lunch near Naabi Hill Gate before entering the park for an afternoon game drive. After experiencing a stunning sunset, continue to Seronera campsite (Tumbili) for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 04 :
Full-Day Serengeti Game Drive and Wildlife Exploration

Today we will spend the whole day in the park. We head out and start to explore at sunrise, then return to the campsite for breakfast, pack our lunch and then go for a full day game drive exploring the beautiful scenery of Serengeti, searching for the big 5. There is more to Serengeti than large mammals, more than 500 bird species recorded, ranging from the oversized ostrich and bizarre secretary bird of the open grassland to the black eagles that soar effortlessly above the savannah. We will continue to search for Serengeti wildlife and return to the campsite at sunset for dinner and overnight.

Day 05 :
Early Morning Serengeti Game Drive & Transfer to Ngorongoro

We’ll start the day early, departing the campsite around 6:00 a.m. for a sunrise game drive when the animals are most active. Mid-morning, we’ll stop at a picnic site to enjoy breakfast in the bush. Afterward, the game drive continues before returning to camp around noon for a hot lunch. Once packed, we’ll depart the Serengeti and head to Ngorongoro, where you’ll enjoy dinner and spend the night at Simba Campsite.

Day 06 :
Ngorongoro Crater Exploration & Return to Arusha

Today we will get in the safari vehicle at 6am and descend to the crater with our packed breakfast. This stunning place will offer you with almost every species of wildlife indigenous to East Africa including the rare black rhino and if we are lucky, we might spot one. Measuring an area of 260 Kilometres square and extending about 20km in diameter, we will need probably 5 to 6 hours to explore it.
 We will ascend back to the campsite for your last meal with us and drive back to Arusha. We expect to be back in town around 5 to 6pm.

  • Drinks, snacks, or souvenirs outside of provided meals
  • Tips for guides and porters (recommended $15–$20 per day per climber)
  • Accommodation before or after the trek in Arusha or Moshi
