Your adventure begins at Marangu Gate, where you register and meet your guides and porters. Trek through dense rainforest with exotic birds, monkeys, and a variety of plants. Ascend gradually to Mandara Hut, enjoying views of the forest canopy and volcanic formations along the way.

Leave the forest and move into the heath and moorland zone. Hike across beautiful landscapes filled with giant lobelias and senecias. Arrive at Horombo Hut, your base for acclimatization, where you can enjoy spectacular mountain views and rest for the next ascent.

Spend a day at Horombo Hut to acclimatize. You can take a short hike to Zebra Rocks or Mawenzi Tarn, allowing your body to adjust to higher altitudes. This day is crucial for increasing your chances of a successful summit while enjoying breathtaking scenery.

Trek through the alpine desert as you ascend to Kibo Hut, the base camp for your midnight summit attempt. The landscape is stark and dramatic, with volcanic rock and the looming peak of Kibo ahead. Rest early in preparation for the summit climb.

Start your ascent at midnight. Trek up the steep path to Stella Point (5,739m) along the crater rim, then continue to Uhuru Peak, witnessing the awe-inspiring sunrise over Africa. After celebrating your achievement, descend to Horombo Hut and continue down to Marangu Gate to receive your summit certificate and transfer back to Moshi or Arusha.
