A 2-week safari in Tanzania is a fantastic opportunity to create a truly comprehensive and in-depth experience of the country’s most spectacular wildlife and landscapes. This is the ideal duration to explore the famed Northern Safari Circuit at a relaxed pace, and even include some cultural activities or a flight to the remote southern parks.

Day to day Itinerary

Day 01 :
Arrival
Arrival in Arusha & Acclimatization

Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you will be met by your professional safari guide and transferred to your lodge in Arusha. This day is dedicated to resting and recovering from your international flight. Arusha is known as the safari capital of Tanzania, and a perfect place to begin your adventure. Your guide will provide a detailed briefing for your trip and go over the itinerary.

Meals : Breakfast , Lunch and Diiner 

Overnight :  Haradali Home 

Day 02 :
Tarangire
Tarangire Day

You'll enjoy a morning game drive in Tarangire to find more wildlife you may have missed. In the afternoon, you'll visit a nearby Maasai village. This cultural experience provides a fascinating look into the traditional way of life of the Maasai people, with opportunities to learn about their customs, songs, and dances. It's a wonderful way to connect with the local culture before heading deeper into the wilderness. You will spend a second night in the same lodge near Tarangire.

Meals : Breakfast , Lunch and Dinner 

Overnight : Marambio Tented Lodge 

Day 03 :
Cultural
Tarangire & Cultural Visit

You'll enjoy a morning game drive in Tarangire to find more wildlife you may have missed. In the afternoon, you'll visit a nearby Maasai village. This cultural experience provides a fascinating look into the traditional way of life of the Maasai people, with opportunities to learn about their customs, songs, and dances. It's a wonderful way to connect with the local culture before heading deeper into the wilderness. You will spend a second night in the same lodge near Tarangire.

Overnight : Serengeti Katikati Lodge 

Day 04 :
Lake Manyara
Lake Manyara National Park

Today, you'll drive to Lake Manyara National Park, located at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. This park is famous for its tree-climbing lions (though sightings are not guaranteed) and its huge population of baboons. The park's diverse habitats, from groundwater forests to a vast soda lake, support a wide range of animals, including elephants, hippos, and a spectacular variety of birds, especially pink flamingos. You will enjoy a full day of game drives, followed by an overnight stay at a lodge in the nearby town of Karatu.Meals : Breakfast , Lunch and Dinner 

Overnight : Marera Valley

Day 05 :
Lake Eyasi
Lake Eyasi Cultural Experience

After breakfast, you'll take a day trip to Lake Eyasi. This is an amazing opportunity to have an authentic cultural encounter with the Hadzabe, one of the last remaining hunter-gatherer tribes in Africa. You can join the tribe on a morning hunt and learn about their unique way of life. You may also visit a Datoga tribe village to learn about their blacksmithing skills. This is a truly off-the-beaten-path experience that provides deep insight into Tanzania's rich cultural heritage. You'll return to your lodge in Karatu in the evening.

Day 06 :
Ngorongoro
Ngorongoro Crater

Today is dedicated to the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater. After an early breakfast, you will descend into this UNESCO World Heritage Site, the world's largest intact volcanic caldera. The crater floor is a natural enclosure with an incredible density of animals. It is one of the best places in Africa to spot the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo) in a single day. You will spend the entire day on a game drive, with a picnic lunch on the crater floor.

Overnight : Marera Valley

Day 07 :
To Serengeti
Serengeti

After a leisurely breakfast, you'll begin the drive to the world-renowned Serengeti National Park. The journey is a safari in itself as you travel from the highlands of Ngorongoro to the endless plains of the Serengeti. You will enjoy an en-route game drive as you head toward your camp in the Central Serengeti, which is known for its high population of resident predators. You'll arrive in time for a beautiful sunset and dinner.

Overnight : Serengeti Katikati Camp

Day 08 & 09 :
Exploring the Serengeti

These two days are fully dedicated to exploring the magnificent Serengeti. Your expert guide will take you on a series of game drives to find the best wildlife viewing opportunities. The Serengeti offers an incredible diversity of landscapes and animals. Depending on the season, you can witness the Great Migration, with millions of wildebeest and zebra on the move. Even without the migration, the Serengeti's resident wildlife, including big cats, giraffes, and hippos, is simply breathtaking. You'll have full days of game drives with picnic lunches to maximize your time in the bush.

Overnight : Serengeti Katikati Camp

Day 10 :
Serengeti to Karatu
Drive Back from Serengeti to Karatu

The drive from Serengeti to Karatu is a scenic journey that takes you through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, offering breathtaking views of endless plains, crater highlands, and Maasai villages along the way. As you leave behind the wildlife-rich Serengeti, the road winds through lush forests and rolling hills before arriving in Karatu, a charming town on the edge of the Ngorongoro highlands known for its green landscapes, coffee farms, and welcoming atmosphere

Overnight : Ngorongoro Haradali Home

Day 11 :
Exploring Mto wa Mbu
Mto wa Mbu

Mto wa Mbu, meaning “River of Mosquitoes” in Swahili, was once a small rural village along the road to Ngorongoro and Serengeti. Back then, it was mostly known as a resting point for traders and farmers, surrounded by banana plantations, rice fields, and acacia woodlands. The village became a melting pot of Tanzania’s diverse cultures, with people from many tribes settling there, making it one of the few places in the country where nearly all ethnic groups could be found living together in harmony.

Overnight : Haradali Home

Day 12 & 13 :
Arusha and Chill
Travel Back to Arusha and Chill

Travel back to Arusha and spend another day chill and explore the city.
